What must a bus have done to it so that it qualifies as an RV in the eyes of the California DMV?

I bought a school bus and I want to convert it into an RV. The DMV says they will inspect it to determine whether or not they think its an RV. Nobody at the DMV seemed to know what sort of things needed to be done to have it be considered an RV, all they said was “putting chairs and a table doesn’t count.” Any guidelines?

Usually you will need some sort of sleeping and cooking facilities, and if you can washing and toilet setups.

You have to have it set so that a reasonable person can spend the night in the bus.
