What kind of deal to RV’s have with Walmart for overnight parking?

February 15, 2008 By: admin Category: Other - United States

Claude L asked:

I travel often, and see RV’s parked overnight in Wal-Mart parking lots all over the US. Does Wal-Mart grant them special permission? Do you have to ask the store?

no, you just pull up and camp out. that way when you need breakfast or lighter fluid or whatever, you can go throw your money at Wal-Mart

When I worked at two different Wal-marts in IL and our unofficial policy was that we would allow RVs to park for a few days. If you overstayed your welcome (depends on the store management) you were asked to leave. But, the only time I saw that happen was when someone decided to live in their car in the parking lot.

The lot it seems to work well for both parties.
The lot it seems to work well for supplies while parked in for supplies while parked in for both parties.
