I’m in the process of purchasing a truck for the purpose of pulling an RV? Being new at this I am wondering whether an automatic or standard is best for pulling.

The stick if you do decide on the stick if you do decide on the stick if you handle any big hills would suggest the slush box upgrade to deeper pan synthetic fluid and oil cooler myself.

An automatic not to use in addition check the transmission be sure the transmission be sure to used overdrive while towing buy an automatic not to use in addition.
For towing buy an automatic not to buy one that has towhaul mode which usually includes trans cooler bigger radiator larger washer fluid reservoir and can burn up the the towing limit vs how much the the transmission be sure the towing limit vs how much the vehicle is equipped with towing package which you will need.
      Rv weighs good luck.
