How many pounds of 134 refrigerant are needed to fill the AC system of a 1997 U295 Foretravel motor home?

RU4Reel asked:

Although the rather extensive original owner’s manuals cover all fluid capacities, there was no reference to the amount (in pounds or otherwise) of #134 refrigerant needed to recharge the dash air conditioning system. This is a 36 foot long motor home. So it will take a lot of product. We have put in six pounds and pressures are OK, we just don’t know the correct amount.
