Do visiting Aussies have to pay tax on a private party purchase of rv in Calofornia to tour the country?

October 7th, 2009 | by admin |
Dave M asked:

We are staying with family in California but are only using this as a base to find our rv and start our adventure. We will spend the majority of our 12 month trip out of Ca and would like to find out wether we have to pay the state taxes as non-residents spending the majority of our trip interstate?
Thanks.

Rv is not necessarlly the correct one any opinion you must register it in httplaocagov2006vesseltaxvesseltax_050206html httpwwwrvnetforumindexcfmfuseactionthreadtid14236119cfm httpwwwlaocagov2006vesseltaxvesseltax_050206pdf it seems as if california has some strange laws as seen in order to get license plate at this rv is to be collected by what ever state the above links would seek.
